Ubud

It just doesn’t get boring, once again we packed our bags, put everything, this time including surfboards onto motorbikes and started off on the road.

We went through rice fields, jungles and rural towns, past volcanos coastlines and mountain lakes, spent a night in dreamy little Ubud with the awesome friends we’d made before to end up on yet another beautiful surf beach on the other side of the island: Keramas.

Temples Cliffs and Waves

Today we visited surf Mekka Uluwatu with its stunning cave beach, the world famous left-hander and the gigantic cliffs topped by one of  Balis biggest buddhist temples.

Canggu – Bali

I just met my Brother again on my last stop – Bali. Canggu, a little surf town on the south western coast is going to be our home for the next few days.

4000 Islands

After crossing over to Laos on another epic bus ride followed up by a long tail boat trip over the Mekong river I ended up on one of the beautiful so called 4000 islands where I stayed in my own little river view bungalow for the incredible price of 1$ per night. I slept right next to my closest neighbor, a wild water buffalo.

off the beaten path

The Cambodian North has a reputation to be far away from any tourist path and let me tell you this is not exaggerated. Just to get here happened to be quite a mission. Even though Kracheh is just around 150km north of Phnom Phen it took us 9 hours by bus to get here.

Once we were here we felt like being in an other time. Oxcarts, rural life and river dolphins are something else. Especially the rural wooden houses let me remember what is important in architecture. This is the essence of form follows function and has remained the same for centuries.

Angkor Wat

Wow! The temples and palaces near Siem Reap are world famous for a reason. After a whole day of discovering the area we are not even half way through and we are still amazed after every every corner we get around…

Kambodia

After having visited the moving Khmer Rouge genocide memorials in Phnom Phen yesterday I needed a more positive approach to live today. What better plan than to visit one of the buzzing markets?

Scuba Island

Koh Tao, a few miles away from Koh Phi Phi is apparently one of the best and most importantly cheapest place for scuba diving. Of course we had to see this famous underwater world ourselves. All I can say is: Don’t miss it for anything! Tropical fish, corrals and other sea life are unlike anything I’ve ever seen…
